While there are countless Notre Dame fan sites and blogs out there, we are confident that you will find our Notre Dame Pick’em Challenge an exciting way to follow your favorite team this college football season. With free membership and registration, great prizes for our winners, as well as a great forum and chat room for fans to interact live during game day, we are excited to share the experience of Notre Dame Football with you each Saturday as they hit the field to Shake Down The Thunder in 2010.
As childhood friends growing up in Chicago, we were spoiled as kids as the first ND games we were going to during the Lou Holtz era typically ended with a victory for our beloved Irish. Watching players such as Tony Rice, Tim Brown, Rocket Ismail, and Ricky Watters was our must-see-tv those days, while running imaginary plays as Stonebreaker, Zorich, and the immortal Mirko Jurkovic during our pick up games struck fear in the hearts of our less fortunate friends that followed that team from Ann Arbor Michigan. Thankfully, we didn’t have any friends that were fans of Miami, although the Catholics vs. Convicts rivalry did at times spill out to our playgrounds.
While we haven’t seen the success at Notre Dame since Lou left, we have both still followed Notre Dame religiously and have been tossing this idea around for the site for the past couple years. Both prone to make a wager every now and then, we both thought it would be interesting to see who, out of Notre Dame’s immense following, can beat the Vegas odds most often by just placing hypothetical wagers on only Notre Dame games.
Providing an outstanding and unique fan experience for our fellow Golden Domers is our priority. We hope you find Notre Dame Pick’em an easy to use, innovative, but most of all fun way to enhance this year’s season as we bring in the Brian Kelly era.
